"Purls of Wisdom" is a group of Casa Verde grannies and soon-to-be grannies who get together once every other week to chat and knit. (Okay, so non-grannies are welcome, too!) They've been working on creations to welcome all the new grandkids, as well as making beautiful creations for Afghans for Afghans, a humanitarian and educational people-to-people project that sends hand-knit and crocheted blankets and sweaters, vests, hats, mittens, and socks to the beleaguered people of Afghanistan.Colorado Springs Cohousing: www.casaverde.us
